Citation of Distinguished Alumni
Dr. Neil B. Ingels Jr. is the retired chair of the Cardiovascular Physiology & Biophysics Department at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Research Institute. He currently serves as an adjunct professor of biomedical engineering at the University of Arkansas.
Amy Tu is the president, international and chief administrative officer of Tyson Foods Inc. She leads the company's international business with over 18,000 team members globally. Tu also leads the safety, health and environment; food safety and quality assurance; and corporate services and aviation functions.
Brian Wolff is the chief strategy officer and executive vice president of public policy and external affairs at the Edison Electric Institute. He joined the institute in 2009 and is responsible for managing government relations, political and external affairs, and communications departments.
Andrew J. Lucas Alumni Service Award
Elizabeth Bogy Allen and Kenneth Robert Allen are Arkansas alumni who have impacted multiple areas of the university through their service and philanthropy.
Community Service Award
The Honorable Earnest E. Brown Jr. is a Circuit Court Judge in the Eleventh West Judicial District, Division 6 (Jefferson County, Arkansas).
Young Alumni Award
Raya Clay is a producer of digital talent and story telling for Fox Sports. Her career in sports broadcasting began in 2015 and includes time with both Fox Sports and ESPN.
Ricardo Ekmay is the senior vice president, research and development, at Arbiom Inc. Before joining Arbiom in 2017, he spent several years as a research scientist with Dow AgroSciences.
Honorary Alumni Award
Dr. Jennie Popp is the associate dean of the Honors College. Popp is a professor of agricultural economics and agricultural business and co-director of the University of Arkansas Service Learning Initiative.
Faculty Distinguished Achievement in Service Award
Carole Shook is a teaching associate professor of information systems in the Walton College of Business. Shook has been served the university 24 years in a variety of roles.
Faculty Distinguished Achievement in Research Award
Dr. Varun Grover is a Distinguished Professor and the George & Boyce Billingsley Endowed Chair in the Department of Information Systems at the Sam M. Walton College of Business. Grover joined the U of A faculty in 2017.
Faculty Distinguished Achievement Rising Teacher Award
G. Alexander "Alex" Nunn is associate professor of law. He has been a faculty member at the U of A School of Law since 2019, after serving one year as a visiting assistant professor of law in the 2018-19 academic year.
Charles and Nadine Baum Faculty Teaching Award
Dr. Marcia Imbeau is a professor of gifted education and the program coordinator of childhood/elementary education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. She joined the faculty of the College of Education and Health professions in 1991.
