Pride of Arkansas Tour
Despite a snowy February in Northwest Arkansas, the second Pride of Arkansas Tour kicked off in Rogers, along with a simultaneous event in Tyler, Texas, whith a room full of red as alumni came together to reconnect with each other and their University of Arkansas degree, including nationally ranked programs, and watched the video presentation "The razorback Family: Generations," produced by students through UA Productions.
The events that evening launched the Alumni Association staff's month-long journey across Arkansas conducting 35 stops during the month of February, along with concurring events in Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas. Each week a different team of staff pent a week on th eroad, hosting a lunch and reception each day in towns that contain dense populations of University of Arkansas alumni.
As the staff traveled from twon to town, they met alumni from decades spanning from the 1930s to the 2000s who shared stories of their years on the University of Arkansas campus and where their name is located on Senior Walk. They also recalled meeting spouses, fun times and traditions, reconnected with sorority sisters or discovered someone who coincidentally lived in the same residence hll at the same time. Some brought their children to introduce them to the University and Razorback traditions. Of course, no Pride of Arkansas Tour stop was complete without calling the Hogs.
