SAB Membership

Student Alumni Board is a competitive organization, which means students are selected through an interview process. This membership drive happens in the spring semester of each year, normally in March. Students are required to have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 or better. This selective membership ensures that SAB will have the best students from the University of Arkansas in the organization.
Member Expectations
Each SAB member is expected to:
- Become familiar with UA history and traditions
- Attend designated SAB meetings
- Participate in all SAB service projects and social projects
- Observe and support all SAB policies
- Lend support and assistance to other SAB committees and to staff members of the Alumni Association
- Represent the University in a professional manner at alumni functions and all SAB sponsored activities, events and programs
Benefits of Being a Member of SAB
SAB is a great place for students to learn skills that they can take with them after graduation. SAB gives students the opportunity to build their organizational skills and their professional skills. Because all of the events are student planned and student run, the members are able to learn what it takes to plan and run events and then do follow-up on the events. SAB also gives students the opportunity to meet and work with many of the special alumni members. Working with the alumni will help the students network for the future. The students give SAB so much but SAB gives so much back to the members.
