Students who reside outside the state of Arkansas who qualify for the Alumni Legacy Scholarship may complete the application between November 1 and August 1 immediately before their first UofA semester.
To be considered for Arkansas Alumni Association scholarships, students must complete BOTH the general scholarship section AND the alumni-specific section using the Academic Works application, also known as the Blackbaud Award Management (BAM) system.

Alumni Legacy Scholarship – this scholarship will be applied directly to your student account. There is no action required for you to accept it.
Renewal requirements are the same for the Alumni Legacy Scholarship and the Non-Resident Tuition Award.
All other renewable alumni scholarships require keeping a minimum cumulative grade point average (cgpa) and number of successfully completed credit hours required each year. The cpga and credit hours for your specific scholarship are detailed in the original scholarship offer email. It is your responsibility to know and meet these requirements. Your cgpa and credit hours are reviewed after grades post each spring semester. Additionally, every renewable alumni scholarship requires earning at least fifteen Alumni Scholarship Connections Program (“Connections”) points each year. The Alumni Scholarship Connections Program is administered as a noncredit course in Blackboard Learn. It is your responsibility to ensure your Connections points are submitted to the alumni scholarship office before Reading Day each semester.
WE RECOMMEND CREATING A FILE (PHYSICAL OR ELECTRONIC) FOR ALL OF YOUR SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION AND KEEPING IT UNTIL AFTER YOU GRADUATE.
